UniWash UC Series Wet-Type Dust Collectors
Uni-Wash UC – Featuring ProVent’s Unique Scrub Design
In a wet-type dust collector, water is continuously agitated by the suction of the air through the machine. There are no nozzles, piping or water pumps to clean, repair or replace. The consumption of water by the system is negligible; only normal evaporation occurs, and the water loss is replenished automatically. Collected sludge can be easily removed from the sloping tank via the tank access doors, or through the use of optional automatic sludge removal equipment.
With a wide selection of models featuring collection capacities ranging from 500 CFM – 40,000 CFM, the Uni-Wash UC-Series collectors are suited for nearly every wet-collection job.
ProVent’s Uni-Wash scrubbing wet collectors utilize a five step process:
- Dirty air strikes the turblent water surface in the water tank section of the machine
- Air passes through a vertical water curtain to remove the largest contaminants
- Particles and dust are scrubbed from the air stream through a water cascade on cone walls
- Air passes through a horizontal water curtain for additional cleaning
- Clean air is buffeted through the moisture separator section before being expelled by a fan through the machine exhaust
The Uni-Wash scrub process never clogs or loses airflow performance, providing consistent and reliable static pressures for your dust collection system. The water-based design provides a safe method for collecting materials prone to fire or explosive risks.
